Discover the 5 best-kept secrets of Outlook

Whether your employees check their mail every ten minutes or three times a day, there is often room for improvement in efficiency. Especially if you know what the program has to offer. Here are the 5 best-kept secrets about Outlook that you need to know.

1) Organize in a snap

Need only a "yes" or "no" from different people? Make it easy for them and yourself by adding voting buttons with options > voting buttons > custom. That way your recipients don't have to think long and hard or send a complete email back. They have less work and you have a quick response.

2) Delay shipment

One less worry? Set in advance the time when certain emails should be sent. You can find this under options > more options > postpone delivery. That way you'll never again send an email too quickly angrily. Or that email you drafted late last night will just appear neatly in the recipient's mailbox during office hours.

3) Set a deadline for your email

In the same menu of Options > More Options > Options, you will find the feature "Expires after. Here you can set an invitation to disappear again after a few days, when it is no longer relevant. Colleagues who are on vacation don't end up with a full mailbox this way. And you can clearly indicate when you need a response.

4) Share your calendar for quick appointments

Colleagues can already see your calendar, but people outside your organization cannot. Therefore, you can share your calendar with them in an email. To do so, go to Start > calendar > share calendar. This allows you to share your calendar with whomever you want, making it even easier to schedule appointments.

5) Create several vacation notifications

For your absence notification, go to File > automatic replies > within my organization or > outside my organization. You can set up separate notifications for both. For example, internally you can leave instructions or explanations, while externally you can refer people to a colleague who will help them further.
